Week 31 - Colour Creations Blog Hop - Night of Navy

Hello and welcome to week 31 of the Art with Heart team's Colour Creations Blog hop. This week we are looking at Night of Navy.

For you today I have combined 2 stamp sets. One I bought specifically for my husband, To The Moon. I just had to get it when I saw it in the Annual Catalogue but it has taken me until now to ink and then the gorgeous In The Moment  from the new Jan-June Mini!

Rhapsody in craft, #colourcreationsbloghop, In The Moment, To The Moon, Blending Brushes, Thinking of you, Thinking of you cards, Bark 3D Embossing Folder, Easel Fold, Fancy Fold Card, Stampin' Up

I have created an easel card with our colour that we have in the spotlight today, Night of Navy. I have also a layer of Night of Navy behind the focal image that I have embossed with the Bark 3D embossing folder.

Rhapsody in craft, #colourcreationsbloghop, In The Moment, To The Moon, Blending Brushes, Thinking of you, Thinking of you cards, Bark 3D Embossing Folder, Easel Fold, Fancy Fold Card, Stampin' Up

To create the scene I stamped the image from the In the Moment stamp set on the lower edge of the piece of Basic White and the moon on the top edge I then used my blending brushes and with the Daffodil delight from the moon to the image. When I had laid down enough moonlight I took out the Night of Navy and blended that over the rest of the card and image to create the night sky.

I stamped out the moon in Smokey Slate and cut it out with the Layering Circle dies and adhered it over the moon in the corner and cut the edges off. I also stamped another image from In The Moment in Memento Ink and cut it out with paper snips and coloured that in with the Stampin Blends. I also highlighted the window with the stampin' chalk marker.

To finish of the card I have stamped the sentiment from the In The Moment stamp set and with the Gold Shimmer Ribbon and pulled it apart to go underneath. Now the bling just to sparkle is the new iridescent  rhinestone basic jewels from the Jan-June Mini!

Contact me any time if you have questions on how to make this card or if you would like to get the new Jan-June Mini and Sale-A-Bration Brochure into you hands.

The scene you've created is very clever, Sharon. The night sky looks great, and I love how you used ink to create illumination, to draw the eye down to the woman sitting in the corner. A really creative design.

Such a serene card Sharon. You've really captured the scene so well and the way you did the blended background is very smart.

This is sensational Sharon. The girl looks so pensive gazing at the moon.
